Captain La Berge Moves Up, Not Out

It was only three years ago that Santa Clarita welcomed new "Chief of Police" Anthony La Berge to his post as Captain of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Santa Clarita station.
Color Designs For Golden Valley Bridge Mural Released
Schools picked to help paint mural.
The latest and most detailed version of a future mural that will adorn the Golden Valley bridge underpass has been revealed. The mural was designed by the Special Children's Art Foundation (SCAF), and commissioned by the city of Santa Clarita.
The new revision includes all of the colors, which provide the most accurate preview of the artwork to date.
City Council Candidate Debate This Week

On Thursday, March 11, candidates for Santa Clarita City Council will be under one roof for a debate sponsored by local media outlets KHTS AM-1220, The Signal and SCVTV.
The debate will begin at 6:00 p.m in City Council chambers located at City Hall. The public is invited to attend the debate to get a better understanding of the diverse field of candidates.
Arts In Santa Clarita Will Benefit From Kennedy Center Teaching
Just two years after unveiling its K-12 Arts Education Outreach Program, the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center (PAC) has been invited to attend a national education event.
The PAC, located at College of the Canyons has been invited to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to participate in the prestigious Partners In Education Institute, May 5-8, in Washington, D.C.
City Council Votes To Support Select Immigration Laws

The Santa Clarita City Council has made a symbolic move to address illegal immigration in the Unites States. Since the issue is handled at the federal level, Council members voted Tuesday night on whether or not to support various bills before the U.S. House of Representatives.
